Kathy R. Bess
Kathy R. Bess was born in Covington, Virginia. She attended the College of William and Mary and graduated with a B.A. in 1981. Ms. Bess then attended the University of Georgia School of Law. She served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. After graduating cum laude in 1986, she clerked for the Hon. Lewis R. Morgan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. After the judicial clerkship and a trip around the world, she joined the litigation department of Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker.
Ms. Bess has many years of experience litigating civil disputes, both in the private sector and for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. She joined this firm as Of Counsel in 2006.
